Barça to Host Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees can be present based on approved permits. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
