New England matched their longest winning run from the Brady period as they defeated AFC East opponents the Jets by 13 points in the NFL

First-year standout TreVeyon Henderson shone brightly with three scores as the New England squad secured an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's final season with the team in the 2019 season

QB Maye accumulated 281 yards and a score, completing 25 passes from 34 throws

The win extends the New England's advantage at the summit of the AFC East as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the Jets bottom after dropping to a 2-8 mark

The opposing team had gone in front at their home field with QB Fields scoring a five-yard TD to cap the New York's opening drive

But the New England answered in the second quarter as the rookie scored two seven-yard touchdowns before the ball carrier hauled in a throw from Maye at the back of the endzone in the middle of the third period to extend the lead to 21-7

"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been great for him to keep earning playing time," Maye commented on Henderson. "He desires to be excellent."

Fields found John Metchie in the latter part of the third period to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Borregales booted a pair of field goals in the final period as the Patriots sealed the win
